Discord is where the handbook community notices signals before they become finished pages, issues, or projects. Activity there can become a contribution when it captures an insight, question, decision, source, or follow-up task that would otherwise disappear in chat.

What the Discord community offers

  • Multi-domain leaders: Startup co-founders, tech leads, recruiters, influencers, developers, and practitioners bring different views into the same AI discussion space.
  • Bilingual AI Signals: Nova is an AI agent specifically trained to analyze public internet sources and turn daily AI trends into English and Chinese discussion signals.
  • Monthly workshops: Online and occasional offline sessions let members meet experts, ask questions, share observations, and work through practical topics together.
  • Active discussion: Developers and learners exchange general AI knowledge, share references, and help each other understand fast-moving AI work.

How Discord activity becomes contribution

Use this contribution type when your Discord activity creates a reusable signal for the project:
  • Comment on the English or Chinese AI Signals boards. Add your own conclusion, explain why the signal matters, connect it to practice, or ask a sharper follow-up question that helps turn a daily trend post into clearer community understanding.
  • Bring useful general-channel discussion back into the handbook when it reveals a missing explanation, unclear term, useful source, bug, or feature idea.
  • Join online or offline workshops and record durable questions, expert insights, references, or follow-up work that should not stay only in the live session.
  • Discuss handbook improvements, source projects, or skill packages in the contributor channels before turning them into issues or pull requests.

How it can help contributors

Public comments and discussion records can make your thinking visible to people who are actively watching the community. Thoughtful participation may help you gain closer exposure to founders, technical leaders, recruiters, influencers, and other practitioners while you build a public record of how you reason about AI systems. The strongest Discord contributions are not long messages. They are useful signals: a clear question, a specific conclusion, a better source, a practical example, or a follow-up issue that helps the next contributor move faster.

How to record it

  1. Summarize the useful signal in plain language.
  2. Capture the context: which AI Signals post, channel, workshop, page, issue, or project triggered it.
  3. Ask AI to help separate the durable point from chat noise.
  4. Bring the cleaned-up point into the right next place: a Discord reply, handbook issue, page improvement, source note, feature request, or contributor discussion.
